This is a final invitation to anyone still considering joining us as we walk in the film’s footsteps at Lake Tahoe, where much of Rose-Marie (1936) was shot. The movie’s 90th anniversary is being celebrated in style throughout June 2026.
The Blu-ray movie edition will be released on June 30 and is already performing strongly as a pre-order, currently ranking in Amazon’s Top 25 Romance Movies Best Seller list.
We’re hosting an extraordinary event from June 8–13, featuring visits to historic filming locations, including the cabin used in the scene where Nelson Eddy’s character arrests Jimmy Stewart, as well as a scenic hike to Alpine Meadows, where you’ll see the famous tree and rock from the iconic “Indian Love Call” sequence. The photo above was taken at that precise location! Guest speakers will also be featured, along with a screening of the film, which I will introduce. There are many other events scheduled as well.
This is a once-in-a-lifetime trip, guided by three tour leaders who have visited every possible film site. It promises to be a memorable and emotional week. To join us, please contact me and/or click on the Lake Tahoe link below and I’ll forward you the details, including the hotel with our special group rate, the planned daily schedule, and everything you’ll need to know and bring.
I would also recommend joining the private Jeanette/Nelson Facebook group, where you’ll find daily trip updates, packing advice, and more, all organized in one place. Our tour guides are answering questions as they come up.
The Rose-Marie Blu-ray can be pre-ordered on Amazon.
